There are these moments when heaven invades our daily life without any warning and God surprises you on the depth that makes you cry.
Since so many things here happen without planning, there is a lot of space for miracles and unexpected surprises :) I already mentioned our friends from Latvia who were visiting us on New Year. They had to continue their journey to Belo Horizonte - a city where I did my Children At Risk school 2.5 years ago. Since they didn't have made any plans on how to get to this city 6 hours away from Rio, we ended up giving them a lift with another car . We had planned to visit Belo some day because I was dying to see my friends there so it was a very nice, unexpected trip. We stayed there for 2 days but I could visit the Restoration House - a wonderful YWAM ministry in Belo Horizonte who work with ex-street boys (you can read more on their web page - www.bhcentro.jocum.org.br) where I also spent the three months of CAR.
And this is vere the unexpected grace of God comes in - there were still some things in the base I had left the 2.5 years ago which I could take now. And with the things there was a letter that had come after I had already left. And it was from my best friend from Latvia which I miss these days greatly. She is now in Kanada and we can't talk so often as my heart wants. We were in the car going back to Rio and hot tear were streaming down my cheeks as I hold her letter in my hands and red the exact words I needed to hear in this day, 2.5 years after it's origin. This is what I call the unexpected grace - touch of heaven on the moment least expected.
CIk skaisti par to vēstuli, Zandiņ! :)
